Échirolles, a tiny spot on the map of the Rhône-Alpes. An outskirt suburban community of Grenoble. It’s charm? The inhabitants, called the Échirollois. If you can manage to get accepted into the household of an Échirollois family, as I have had the chance (I must admit, being family helped) you will discover a world of french crunchy bread, nose-tingling cheeses, Dauphinoise gratins and other culinary feasts.
And what better way to walk off all those delicious calories fter a digestive Chartreuse than a good ol’ walk on the mountain?
